First Graders Become Wordsmiths
Work on Words is a multiple-choice workbook. The two volumes of WOW together, like POW's, cover virtually every monosyllabic word in the lexicon. Because WOW has fewer clues than its sister workbooks, it should be started after children have attained some degree of reading ability. Like POW, WOW is interactive and audible. With a left click on any word or phrase, the selection will be heard. For slightly older wordsmiths, they can double left click on any word, then right click on it and be whisked to an unabridged dictionary. There they can select the definition with their mouse and hear it read aloud. How cool be that? "Very indeed," to say the least!
